Testimonials
I believe that conversations with self made successful innovators and inspirations such as Shahid Sheikh OBE FIMMM greatly impact our success. I have to thank Mr. Sheikh for his valuable time and the enthusiasm he shared. Beyond investment and marketing advice, he conveyed the power of sharing more about one’s self and not discrediting yourself of your capabilities. Throughout our conversation not once did he question our abilities or the feasibility of the technology. Mr Sheikh shared our vision and left us energised to peruse this venture. We look forward to meeting him again and feel very lucky to have had the chance to pitch to him yesterday.

Last month I had the opportunity to meet with Shahid Sheikh, one of your many entrepreneurs in residence. I was introduced to him through my uncle who was aware of his role at Leicester.
I thought to reach out to you now in hopes that it gives ample time to put some measures into place to promote our entrepreneurs in residence much more than they are currently.
I sat down with Shahid for 3 hours. The conversation we had was no less than enlightening.
Shahid realises, as do other figures on the business campus such as Dennis and Matteo, that you have to relate to us students to see real impact. I believe the divide between lecturer and the lectured is too strong, but Shahid shows that it does not have to be this way and has great effect when it isn't.
Shahid has lived the world that our lectures speak about, and he continues to be an integral part to multiple companies today. His experience and wisdom are invaluable, and I have witnessed this first hand when I had my conversation with him. Shahid doesn't hold back as you guys must be aware. He tells it as it is, and in my opinion, that isn't something you see very often anymore. He asked me questions that compelled me to think harder than I usually ever do. Questions that sink deeper than just on an academic level, but on a somewhat spiritual one instead. Making me ponder on what I want to be known and useful for, not just drifting through stages of life. I remember trying to note down everything I could of our chat on my drive back from Brookfield.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to be advised and guided by industry mentors, and as the fates have aligned we got to meet Shahid Sheikh OBE FIMMM,
How I would describe him is Leicesters Gem and specifically a diamond, because he had built and done so much and not mention his contributions to the Leicester (and world) communities, and let's not forget his shining personality which inspired I and my teammates.
We had such an amazing time getting to speak with him and learn from his experience, we really felt inspired by his guidance and left with a strong sense of confidence and team pride.
We look forward to meeting him again soon, and if you are interested in some stuff we learnt!

I'm honoured to share a few words about Shahid Sheikh, an exceptional man who has made a remarkable impact on the lives of others and will make an impact in my life as well. I went to attend the Leicester Innovation Hub event in Leicester University last week and was delighted to hear University of Leicester speaker, one of the unpleasant residence. Shahid/, on the art of networking was not only inspiring, but also immensely practical, offering invaluable insights to have helped me and will help me and others in our own networking efforts. But beyond his professional achievements were truly set of Shahid, apart as his unwavering commitment to gratitude and humility. Despite his phenomenal success, he never forgot his roots and is always eager to share his experiences and insights with others.
